How long is this program?

This program requires a commitment of at least five months.

When does this program start?

There are various start dates throughout the year. Typically our program will start two months prior to the start of Seneca semesters.

How can I apply/register for this program? What are the steps involved?

You must email your resume to Bridge to HR Online. Once your resume is reviewed, a representative from the BHR Program will contact you to assess your eligibility. Candidates must also attend an Information Session and Interview which are held every Tuesday.

Is this program full-time? What time does it take place?

The program is part-time through the duration of at least five months. The 10-day HR sector specific workshops occur three days per week (typically Monday, Wednesday and Thursday) and the Seneca courses take place in the evenings. However, the unpaid work placement will be full-time over eight weeks and will take place after the 10-day workshop has been completed.

Can I still look for jobs while in this program?

Yes, we encourage clients to continue to job search and find employment in their HR profession. The main objective is for our clients to gain the Canadian HR skills and work experience to find a job in Human Resources.

What if I already completed the HR courses in Canada? Am I still eligible?

No, this program is intended for Newcomers to Canada who are Internationally Trained HR Professionals. If you have post-secondary education in Canada, you may not be eligible for this program.

Do I have to complete all components of this program?

Participants registered in the Bridge to HR program must complete all components of the program. This includes the 10-day sector specific workshops, 24-35 hours of mentoring, 8 week unpaid work placement and 2 HR College credit courses at Seneca College

I don’t have experience in Human Resources but would like to get in this field. Can I join this program?

This program is intended for Internationally Trained HR Professionals who already have three years working experience in the HR field. If you do not have an HR background, you are not eligible for this program.
