Explore the idea of starting a business in Canada

April 12-13 9:30 am to 3:00 pm in Scarborough at:
Seneca Workforce Skills Centre
3660 Midland Ave., 2nd floor


Phase I

2-day sessions:

  • Learn about owning a business in Canada
  • Research your opportunities
  • Assess your Business Skills
  • Find out if self-employment is the right path for you

Participants who meet Program Criteria will move to Phase II


Phase II

2-day sessions:

  • Your business concept
  • Your competition
  • Finances needed
  • Your Market

Participants who meet Program Criteria will move to Phase III

Phase III

10 half-day sessions held over 5 weeks:

  • Group workshops on business development
  • Individual Business Coaching and support
  • Access to relevant business tools



  • Permanent Residents and applicants for Permanent Residence with letter from IRCC informing them that their application for landing had been approved
  • Convention Refugees
  • Live-in Caregivers
  • CLB Level 5 minimum
