Why is applying for a job so complicated?
There are many different things to consider while you are job searching. You want to ensure that you send out targeted resumes and customized cover letters. However, considering what time of day to apply for jobs is something job seekers may need to consider.
Does the time of day matter when applying for a job?
In theory, no, it doesn’t matter. In practice, it may matter. Most employers keep up with their emails throughout the day. However, suppose you send your resume before and after regular business hours. In that case, you risk your email or your application getting missed. It’s a good idea to schedule your job search during normal business hours. Dedicating 5 to 6 hours daily to your job search allows you to apply for 2 to 3 jobs. You should send your application or resume between 10 AM and 3 PM. This gives you a better chance of your resume being seen and not getting lost in the shuffle.
